I have an approx. 8 month old purebred Doberman Pinscher that I unfortunately need to re-home.
This is due to no fault of his own..... he is normal, friendly, good with people and other animals, UTD on all shots, CKC registered and just a big ball of fun.... but that is where the issue lies.
I have a one and a half year old son, who he has unintentionally knocked over and caused some severe injuries to, I am also 2 months pregnant and have been unintentionally knocked down and jumped on by him as well.... (read more) He behaves as a normal puppy would.... he is just 10 times the size.
He is approximately 75-80 pounds.
He is very large, and only continue to grow. He was born Christmas day, 2015. Our family did not anticipate him becoming as big as he is.... and didn't think we would face any of these issues.
I have an 8 year old boxer who he gets along with just fine. He is very playful, and sits, shakes, and lays down on command.
This is very hard for me to have to do and I am going to need to make sure he is going to a suitable home. I would like to see your home, with a yard for him to get the exercise he so desperately needs.
My husband and I are both military veterans who moved here from NY two months ago. He is a registered service dog in NY, but has not yet started training due to the move... and this unexpected pregnancy.
He is an awesome dog, and I just want him to live a happy life with people who will take very good care of him.
There will be a re-homing fee... please take into account that he is purebred, CKC registered with papers, and a registered service dog. He does not have his ears done like the classic Doberman Pinscher because I chose not to have them done to prevent him from months of pain.
He does have separation anxiety issues, please consider this. Crating him while not home would be a good idea, and I would love him to to go someone maybe retired who has the time and effort to train him to be the best he can. He deserves it.
Make ME an offer. I'd like to know what you think a good re-homing fee is.
