I am a 58 year old homeowner, an artist, poet, musician, photographer and clothing and jewelry designer. I am unknown, but my paintings are starting to generate interest, and hope that soon my financial situation will improve. I am disabled, and much in need of a Newfoundland for companionship, for his beautiful presence, and the natural therapy they provide with their marvelous gentleness and intelligence. I hope to find a male, as they are larger, and that much more to love!... (read more) I'm experienced with Newfies, and the loss of my Newfie Rafe two years ago at the age of 12 from heart disease is a wound that has been hard to deal with. I have the best veterinarian on the planet, and I can provide the very best of vet care, food, and loving environment. My home is securely fenced, with a large yard, and I am never one to allow my Newf to wander the streets. My life is quiet and good, and my Newfie will travel with me on photography expeditions, road trips, anywhere and everywhere I go. I know this breed well, and need a Newfie in my life. Rafe was also good for my pain, providing excellent therapy for me with his warmth and snuggles. He also provided support for me without being trained to do so, in helping me up when I fell, helping me out of my bath, and being kind enough to listen to my poetry! Is there anyone out there who might sell me a Newfie and take payments? I cannot, because of my disabled income level, come up with the full price at one time, but I can keep up payments if someone will sell me one that way. I love these dogs very deeply, and my life has been too empty since my Rafe passed away. He was magnificent! I train through positive reinforcement, and my Newf would, as Rafe was, be with me 24-7, and never be left alone all the time in a dog house or outside most of the time. I do not believe in hitting animals, and only guide through voice and touch. If there is anyone out there who might have a big male (neutered, I do not wish to breed them) who might need a home, I am here. I can promise endless love, the best of grooming care and food, total inclusion in all that I do, and deep respect and dignity in my relationship with him. He will have to put up with my violins, but I'm not as bad with that as I used to be! If there is anyone out there who can help, please contact me. I can provide references as to my character and fitness to have another Newfie at my side for life. Rafe was family, as another Newf would be for me. I do very well with animals, can understand and communicate with them, and truly love their presence and friendship. Isolation is too often a result of being disabled, and a Newfie would help me with that problem a great deal. If you think you might be able to help, please contact me. I am waiting, with open arms.
