Allen's last Breeders' Cup starter as a breeder was US Ranger, who was fifth in the 2008 Mile ... Allen had sold US Ranger to Coolmore and returns to the Breeders' Cup with a horse that he bred and now co-owns with the Irish powerhouse. Declaration of War is slated for the 2012 Classic.
Has been an owner for more than 25 years and raced more than 45 stakes winners.
Among the stakes winners owned individually or in partnership by Allen have been 2007 Suburban Handicap (G1) victor Political Force, 2007 Kentucky Cup Distaff (G3) winner Danzon, Louve Royale, Slew City Slew, Darby Creek Road, Dr. Blum, Plankton, Weber City Miss, Andover Way, High Brite, Dynaformer, Glitter Woman, Volga and Roar Emotion.
In partnership with his cousin Peter Brant, he raced Just a Game, who won the Eclipse Award for outstanding Turf Female in 1980. Won 18 stakes nationally in 1981 and seven in 1982.
Has bred nearly 30 stakes winners, including homebreds War Front and his half-sister Teammate ... War Front was retired to Claiborne Farm and has become a top stallion with multiple Grade 1 winner The Factor among the horses in his first crop.
