The food you feed is very important too, and I a homemade food meat based food. Many vets recommend immunizations while the puppies are quite young and this damages their immune system. No puppy should ever be immunized before the age of 14 weeks as it still has natural immunity from their mama, no matter what age they are weaned. This is the belief behind many holistic vets practices. There has also never been any studies done on re-vaccinating a puppy/dog. It is the vaccine manufactures who recommend it. Most shots last a lifetime and some last 7 years. It is very damaging to keep giving an animal shots that are doing nothing but setting them up to have problems down the road. It is very harmful and many vets believe it is the reason so many dogs are dying from cancer, have bladder, kidney and skin problems, seizures, etc... Most states have a law that states that the only vaccine required is the rabies vaccine and this is to be done at 4 months of age or older to get a license...
