Patriotic K-9 Was founded in 2012 by Military Veterans Eric and Anne Solano. The passion for producing German Shepherds for Military Veterans with PTSD and TBI grew. Eric Solano was a Army Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient with TBI. Anne Solano is an Army Veteran and both were struggling with PTSD.


Eric and Anne knew how beneficial service dogs had been to assist with PTSD. They wanted to create a sanctuary for other veterans to get the resources and help they needed.... (read more) They wanted to do it right. Eric and Anne saved up to send Eric to a training facility. Together, Eric and Anne poured blood, sweat, and tears in to their 35 acre property, turning it in to a German Shepherd sanctuary.


Sadly, Eric Solano lost his struggle with PTSD in 2016. He left behind his wife Anne and their 16 month old daughter. Insult added to Injury as the Military decided to pull Eric's Military benefits from his family, leaving Anne at a loss. Her PTSD returned with a vengeance.


In 2011, Red willow Kennel was Founded by O. Montoya. Montoya knew the need for Working K9's in jails and on the streets. She was Deputized for her local county and quickly built a strong network of like minded K9 Handlers. Having been trained by one of the top quality trainers for police K9's in the nation, she started her career as a K9 handler.


in 2013 that all came to an end. Montoya was in a major motor vehicle accident. She was T-boned in her County Vehicle by a Semi-Truck on an icey winter highway. Montoya was out of work for 6 months. She was terminated because it was unclear when she could return to work. Her K9 partner Bixi remained at her side.


in 2014, Eric, Anne, and Montoya became partners for the first time Breeding BIXI and Rapture, producing 6 high-drive puppies.


After Hearing about Anne and her daughters' loss, Montoya could not let her give up of the dream Anne shared with Eric. In 2016 Red Willow Kennel and Patriotic K9 Kennel started to support one another. In 2017 it was decided that it would be a good idea to together, combining our knowledge and fulfilling Eric's Dream, to produce top-quality PTSD Service dogs. They are wanting to on occasion donate a service dog to military veterans with PTSD and TBI.
