Retired couple in the country. Our goals for our breeding methods is to raise healthy /sound DNA, intelligent, contributing pups, and to offer current information that helps both dog and owner. We have owned and raised all different kinds of dogs and animals while being here in the country for over 40 years--- dairy goats to rabbits!
We began breeding, the landrace Scotch collies 3 years ago to enhance this fledgling breed.

I am breeding within the common gene pool of these dogs, thus we are not creating a designer dog, but enhancing the capabilities of each of these breeds. Our dogs have been used as service dogs, guardians of the yard, companions, as well as family pets. They are very suited for agility work and herding as well---WITHOUT being hyper. As pups they are energetic as expected, their parents are NOT given to excessive barking or other hyper behavior.
I learned the importance of feeding a raw diet over 20 years ago. I also hand feed these pups for bonding, training, and character (ie. patience) foundations. I expose them to indoor/ outdoor noises, smells, activities. They are raised with our adult pack of dogs, and are familiar with a pack's pecking order. They have had much interaction with all aged humans, and other animals---such as chickens, and a cow! I bought day old chicks to raise with these pups. We do age appropriate playing and exposures for our pups---playing in water, climbing up stacks of different objects, playing in our two acre yard with different surfaces, heights, and motion---plus, the most important thing---love and affection is given throughout each day. These pups are exhibiting their naturally affectionate, loyal, personalities and lots of smarts!
The rough/Scotch collie pups are ready for their new homes after 21June, and the Aussie/ SC mix, and BC/SC mix after 28June, as they are 9 days younger. When ready for their new home, they will be vet checked, first puppy shot and worm free!
